30

We've been married 30 years today and while I couldn't be happier at this, the fact that I couldn't come up with one decent idea for a card for my wonderful hubby is a matter of great dissatisfaction. I spoke to a friend about it and she started spewing out wonderful ideas like a fountain. LOL This is when I really start questioning why I'm trying to be a paper 'artist'. A lot of people seem to like what I do, why can't I. This is something that I have been over a few times before and never came up with a good answer so I keep muddling along. In the meantime, I have to fold some laundry and try to get a card made. LOL

Thanks for listening to my moans and if anyone has any ideas about how to get through the slumps, let me know. ;o)

If I am trying to come up with an idea for something specific, I can almost be assured that I won't. I find that I am most creative once I start playing. One thing leads to another then another. I could end up with several items/cards that I really like.

If I waited for an idea - I would be at the card shop at the last minute. Let go of the pressure and judging.

Listen to your friends and just say thank you. No yeah buts or if you knew what I did......

Go for it
peace

Wow 30Years... WELL DONE BOTH OF YOU! I hope you have many, many, many more years together :O)

totally agree with Nancy...
I really think you are being way too hard on yourself...
Your work is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!....

Just relax.. enjoy your ART...
sometimes the Journey (the making of the card).. is just as important as the destination (the finished card)

Always remember that your beautiful work blesses those who receive it.... :O)
